Rainshadow Expeditions

Join us on a journey through the Indonesian archipelago to the remote islands of Komodo National Park. Here we will dive on pristine reefs, wander deserted beaches, and observe the infamous Komodo Dragon in the wild. Our home base for this expedition will be the sailing yacht Dunia Baru (“New World” in Bahasa). Constructed over the past decade, Dunia Baru is considered by many to be the crown jewel of the Indonesian fleet and the pinnacle of traditional boatbuilding. She is an ironwood Phinisi schooner, and combines the artistry and aesthetic of Lombok’s best craftsman with the technology and comfort of a modern super-yacht. On board we will find a full complement of scuba and snorkeling equipment, kayaks and SUPs, fishing gear, jet-skis, wifi, an extensive selection of wines and spirits, and a spa. From the comfort of our private yacht we will explore the remote islands of the national park and witness some of nature’s most incredible spectacles.
